The views from my room were stunning, but the lack of AC control was annoying.

I had a fantastic time at the Gstaaderhof Hotel. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, especially with the room setup. We stayed in a Queen Room Alpine, which had a lovely view from the balcony. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the extra effort to make our sofa bed more comfortable was appreciated. Breakfast was extensive with fresh items like avocado and high-quality smoked salmon, which stood out. Location-wise, the hotel is a short walk from the main town square, making it convenient for dining and shopping. I felt the billiard game should be complimentary, especially for a family-friendly hotel. A bit more attention to room sizes, as some rooms felt snug, would also enhance the experience, given the high expectations for value in Gstaad.

I loved staying here because it’s just a few steps from the village center, making it super convenient for me to stroll to the local shops and cafes. The stunning views of the mountains from the balcony were truly a highlight of my visit.

The rooms feature elegant decor with clean lines, including lovely balconies offering stunning mountain views. The overall ambiance feels upscale yet relaxed, which is a pleasant surprise.

The Junior Suite Alpine felt smaller than anticipated, lacking the promised L-shaped sofa and dining table. Expectations were high for a coffee machine given the room's price, but only a kettle with instant coffee was provided. The absence of individual AC or heating controls made the temperature management less than ideal, and during check-in, some guests received welcome drinks while others, like us, did not.

Recommend it for solo adventure seekers

The staff were very nice! I arrived late and they welcomed me with a refreshing orange juice after a tiring trip, that was a nice touch! The view from my balcony was amazing, mountains everywhere, something special.

It wasn't cheap! but for the experience, it felt reasonable enough.
